NJP, Bagdogra or Siliguri to Gangtok
Meet your driver at NJP station, Bagdogra airport or your Siliguri hotel. Drive up the Teesta valley to Gangtok, about 4 to 5 hours with a tea stop. Check in and walk the traffic-free MG Marg in the evening.

Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
Leave early for glacial Tsomgo Lake at 12,313 ft and the Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. Nathula Pass is added when the permit, day and weather allow. Return to Gangtok for an easy evening.

Gangtok to Lachung
Drive north along the Teesta gorge past Seven Sisters Waterfall, about 5 to 6 hours. Reach Lachung by late afternoon, a quiet village surrounded by snow walls. Rest early for Yumthang next morning.

Yumthang Valley, Zero Point and back to Gangtok
Head to the flower meadows of Yumthang Valley at 11,800 ft. Add Zero Point (Yumesamdong) if open. Drive down to Gangtok. It is a long day, so we plan it around an early start.

Gangtok to Pelling via Ravangla
Head west through South Sikkim with a stop at the Buddha Park in Ravangla. Arrive in Pelling in time for evening light on Kanchenjunga, after about 5 to 6 hours of driving.

Pelling sightseeing
Visit the Pelling Skywalk and Chenrezig statue, Pemayangtse Monastery and the Rabdentse ruins. A sunrise from your hotel viewpoint is optional and depends on cloud.

Pelling to NJP, Bagdogra or Siliguri
After breakfast, drive down to NJP, Bagdogra or Siliguri, about 4 to 5 hours. Book trains or flights after 4 pm so the road never becomes a rush.

Four days covers Gangtok and Tsomgo Lake. Six days adds Lachung and Yumthang Valley. Seven days adds Pelling and gives you the full Sikkim loop without rushing.
Nathula is added to the Gangtok itineraries whenever the permit, day of the week and weather allow. It is closed on some days and can shut in bad weather, so we plan Tsomgo Lake as the sure stop and Nathula as a bonus.
Yes. We can change the hotel category, add nights, include Zuluk or Darjeeling, or plan a family or honeymoon Sikkim tour package around your dates.
Our Sikkim holiday packages start and end at NJP railway station, Bagdogra airport or Siliguri, and flights or trains to those points are not included. We can advise on the best arrival and departure times.
The standard Lachung and Yumthang route is popular with tourists and is driven with experienced local drivers. Roads can close after heavy rain or snow, and permits are required, so we watch conditions and adjust the plan when needed.
Many senior travellers enjoy Gangtok and Pelling comfortably. Places above 12,000 ft such as Tsomgo Lake, Nathula and Zero Point can cause breathlessness, so we can shorten those days. Please check with your doctor before travelling.
Restricted areas such as Nathula, Zero Point and parts of North Sikkim need permits, and we arrange them for you. Keep a government photo ID ready. Foreign nationals need a separate Sikkim permit, so mention this when you enquire.
March to May brings rhododendrons and clear roads. October to November has the sharpest Kanchenjunga views and is peak season, so book early. June to September is cheaper but roads can close after heavy rain, and December to February brings snow.
