Helicopter rides from Bagdogra to Gangtok are available. Pakyong Airport, 31 km from Gangtok, provides flights from Kolkata, but availability depends on seasonal climatic conditions.

New Jalpaiguri is the nearest railway station to Gangtok, located 117 km away in West Bengal. Well connected to major cities like Kolkata, New Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, it serves as a popular route to reach Gangtok.
